SHARJAH, 7th May, 2025 (WAM) -- The Sharjah Broadcasting Authority (SBA) recently took part in the 76th World News Media Congress, which took place in Krakow, Poland, from 4th to 6th May.
The SBA team included Salem Ali Al Ghaithi, the Director; Faisal Ali Al Hammadi, who oversees Digital Media; Khalid Ahmed Al Zarouni, the head of the News Center; and Saeed Ahmed Bou Ghazin, in charge of News Exchange.
During the event, the SBA representatives participated in various workshops and discussions focused on how the media is changing in the digital age. They explored important themes like the challenges facing independent journalism and ways to enhance digital content. The team also engaged in conversations with other global media organizations to explore possible partnerships.
Al Ghaithi highlighted the importance of being involved in leading international media events to learn from successful practices around the world. He stated, "Our participation in this conference is a chance to discover the latest trends in news media, which is crucial for our television, radio, and online platforms. This event helps us align our media efforts with the cultural vision of Sharjah."
The World News Media Congress is a significant gathering for media professionals from all over the globe. It creates an opportunity for industry leaders to discuss current trends and the challenges the media faces. Attendees can share knowledge and learn about new technologies, such as artificial intelligence and methods to enhance revenue, underscoring the necessity of collaboration among media entities to stay updated in this fast-evolving sector.
